Former students: Alfredo Romero Blasi visits us
Each person has a talent, our mission is to help discover it and promote it.
My name is Alfredo Romero Blasi, I am 18 years old and I am a former student of the school. I am currently studying a degree in gastronomic sciences and culinary arts at the prestigious Basque Culinary Center University (San Sebastián).
Cooking has always been my great passion. I've liked eating since I was little, and learning to do those things that I like so much is what made me fall in love with the world of cooking. I still remember climbing on a chair when I was only 5 years old to help my mother make a cake with the Thermomix, stuff a chicken or make a simple bread with tomato.
I liked that, it was good for me, I was happy, I felt useful doing things that my family liked and, of course, me. The smile of happiness and passion that appeared in me after cooking and seeing my family eat something I had made was magical. And that happiness and passion has stayed with me for all these years, and I know it will continue.
It can be said that I was never a very good student, I was unmotivated. I still had many years to finish school and start training in what I liked most, gastronomy, but as time went on I began to see it more and more closely and my motivation to study changed radically. There was less and less left, my family, teachers and friends supported me, they were proud of me and without realizing it, I entered the best university in gastronomic sciences and culinary arts in the world, the "Basque Culinary Center". All my efforts turned out to be fruitful.
Today I am very happy, I have always been. It fascinates me to get up every day and see what I'm fulfilling a dream I'm surrounded by people who like the same thing as me and I'm also learning everything so that one day I can make my biggest dream come true, to open a restaurant in the beautiful city of Barcelona, a unique restaurant where I can welcome and feed my loved ones, the ones who love me and have given me wings to "fly".
