Together for Peace
Last January 30 was the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace, and is celebrated on this date to commemorate Gandhi's death. For this reason, the month of January is the month of peace.
We worked on different activities throughout the month to remember the importance of tolerance, respect, non-violence and solidarity.
One of them has been the "traffic light of peace”, which you have probably already seen on our social networks. Each class has developed its own traffic light. We have reflected on what are the attitudes that harm and disturb an atmosphere of peace (red color), what are the values that help us maintain peace around us (green color) and, finally, what are the actions we need to go from the red zone to the green (orange color). In addition, the twinned classes that are part of our "We grow together" project (primary and high school) have shared their conclusions once the traffic lights have been drawn up.
We also listened to different songs related to peace ("Siente la paz", "Al País Blanc", "Imagine", "Paz y amor"...), we talked about the message they convey and we learned them to sing them in the Act for Peace.
Finally, we celebrated our act for peace on the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace. We met the whole school to share our songs and the older students read a manifesto written by them about the importance of achieving, together, that the world is a better place since they, our students, are the future
