Christmas solidarity campaign
This year, the school has decided to give to Sant Egidi what the older students of the school contribute. This is a religious community located in the city of Barcelona. It is known for the amount of solidarity projects it does dedicated to those who need it most, whether it is people living on the streets, without financial resources or children and young people without the possibility of studying because of the conditions in which they live.
The objective of Sant Egidi for Christmas is to help those most in need so that on December 25th they have a place and with whom to celebrate this very special day of the year, with a great Christmas lunch. Thanks to our collection of clothes and outerwear, which is what the High School students have been responsible for, we will make them a little happier and they will start 2019 with a big smile. We hope that this will make them see their future with more hope and positivity. No one deserves what they have to go through every day of the year.
The rest of the courses have also participated in the campaign, for the benefit of other entities such as parishes in need: Més Humans (a project created by young people with the aim of improving the situation of people in a situation of social exclusion), Fundació Joan Salvador Gavina (for children without resources), CEDRE association (for young people in prisons and immigrants) and Càritas Diocesana de Barcelona.
So together we all give life, collaborate and get involved in something that seems fundamental to us: enable the growth of our faith and help those who need it most.
From the school we always thank you for your participation in the different campaigns we organize. In this way, those who need it most can also feel the warmth that we send them from Father Damián.
We wish you a very Happy Holidays!
María Olivé Lorenzo, 1st year high school student
