A different holiday

The holidays of Easter this year are different from the ones we've always experienced: we won't leave home, we won't go to the beach, the mountains or the village. The health emergency has made us change the plans we had and forces us to adapt.

But this is a time of opportunity too: to stop us, pray and reflect together. Many years ago, Jesus Christ experienced the Way of the Cross, suffering and death on the Cross, but then came the light of the Lord's Resurrection.

I invite you to live in thehope that after the suffering comes the light, that we will get out of it and we will do it strengthened in personal and family ties, valuing that longed-for normality now.

We will not be the same, many families have experienced stories of suffering and grief that you will never forget, but we must try to shed light on these circumstances.

The coronavirus puts us in front of one of the crosses that human beings have to face throughout our lives, which is the cross of illness. A cross that can disrupt all areas of existence: the personal, family, social sphere and moreover do it strongly and at a global level.

We pray that the Lord will help us find light and peace from everything that is happening to us, that we strengthen, which helps us to manage uncertainty, to overcome fears and adversities. I encourage you in this Easter time to live with an attitude of overcoming to face the situation and be patient to see the sun again and enjoy life.

I ask you to be positive in the face of everything that is happening to us, to enjoy the family, to talk, reflect and grow together to emerge stronger, because all this will pass and very soon we will return to our normality, to our life, a different life forever, but a very precious life.

Take good care of yourselves!!
