In childhood we work on fear
For a few years, two very different festivities have coexisted: THE CHESTNUT i HALLOWEEN.

At school we have joined the "CASTAWEEN" fashion because it helps us work with the boys and girls a very important emotion: THE FEAR
In the older kindergarten classes we take advantage of the Halloween holiday to talk about THE FEAR.
We all have it, we've all felt it a few times and we all, little by little, learn to overcome the fear and manage it.
These weeks, we've all been enjoying sessions in the dark at the Atelier, and the corner where we play at being really scary and playing scares.

A Q4 the boys and girls were able to paint their faces if they wanted, we did routine of thought Color Symbol Image on an image of costumed children celebrating Halloween and we made puzzles. We also made one pumpkin with light to attract good things and drive away bad things.
A Q5 we have explained the story "The eating machine” and, as the protagonist of the story does, we have written or drawn what scares us in order to tie it to a tree. We have also done the routine of thought: "I see, I think, I wonder" about the image of FEAR from "the Emotional".
We reflected on the things that scare us and how, sometimes, the mind can make us imagine more things than can actually happen. Real fears, imaginary fears, scary fears... We shared who we ask for help when we are afraid, what we do when we hear bad sounds...
And we have realized that we are ashamed to admit that we are afraid, but we have also seen that we all have it... we all feel it or have felt it.
And so, between chestnut trees and the Castanyada dances, we have learned to accept and manage our fears.
